4 Days Desert Tour From Fes To Marrakech

Meet your driver/guide at your accommodation at 8 AM to start your 3 days adventure tour towards the Merzouga desert; we will get out of the hustle of Fes for a silent desert trip towards the great dunes of the Sahara, along the way we will appreciate enchanting and various landscapes. Through a mountain road we will reach the city of Ifran, a delightful place characterized by an Afro-alpine climate; the forests of fir and cedar scent the air. Not far from Ifran, we will stop at the cedar forest in Azrou to meet the Barbary apes, and then, we continue towards Midelt and Errachidia; the plateau at the foot of the Chain of the Middle Atlas is arid and rocky, the vegetation is scarce and changes as we approach the desert. A luxuriant palm grove hides the patches of cultivated land near the Ziz river, while at the horizon there are impressive dunes that are tinged with orange when the sun goes down. After admiring a beautiful sunrise on the dunes, you will return to Merzouga with dromedaries (or jeep), and you can have breakfast and a shower (if you book a luxury desert tour you will spend a night in luxury desert camp and you have dinner, breakfast and shower in your tent). Then, a full day will be dedicated to the discovery of the region of Merzouga with the Erg tour: we will explore the natural fossils of the desert, the village of Tissrdmin where many films were shooting the black desert with its volcanic stones including a visit to a nomad family. We will then visit the town of Khamlia, famous for its inhabitants from Black Africa, we will enjoy a moment listening to their music Gnawa. Returning to Merzouga, you can enjoy the peace of the desert waiting to leave for a camel trek on the splendid golden dunes about an hour and a half to assist to a lifetime sunset over the sand dunes, and then, continue to reach the desert camp, where you will spend a romantic night under the starry sky (Alternatively, is possible to reach the desert camp in 4×4 instead of in dromedary).
