5 Days Morocco Tours From Tangier To Marrakech

Arrival in Tangier and pick up at the port or airport of the same city. Departure to the blue city of Chaouen making a stop in the city of Tetouan, called the Spanish City because it was the capital of the old Spanish Protectorate. Upon arrival at Chaouen, we will stop and walk through its narrow streets. Then we will head towards Fez crossing the mountain villages of Jbala. After about four hours, we will reach the city of Fez, one of the four imperial cities, along with its sisters Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat. The city of Fez is considered in Morocco as the religious and cultural center of the country. We will spend the night in a charming riad.

A small visit to the city of Fez and exit towards Midelt through the Middle Atlas where is the city of Ifrane, the ‘Moroccan Switzerland’ for its architectural style. Our tour of Morocco will then pass through the National Park known for its cedar trees where you will also find the famous Barbary monkeys. Arrival in Midelt. Night in a charming riad.

Departure from Midelt crossing the mountain pass of Tizi n’Talghemt. Then we will cross the Ziz Valley that will lead us to Erfoud, known for its fossils. Arrival to the desert where we change the 4×4 for dromedaries with which we will give a pleasant walk of two hours by the dunes. After that, we will reach the camp of tents in the heart of the desert where we will be welcomed with a Berber tea, as the tradition of the Sahara dictates. It is here where the purest and most fascinating Morocco is discovered. Night in tents under the stars of the desert.

After breakfast, we will leave Merzouga and the dunes of Erg Chebbi to head north and visit the town of Rissani, a small town with a bustling medina rarely frequented by tourists, where the nomads of the area come to stock up. We will walk through this medina, much quieter than the one in Marrakech, and after visiting its peculiar donkey parking we will continue our way in 4×4 towards Tinghir, the ‘city of the mountain’ in Tamazight, another beautiful Berber village where we will delight with the contrast of its palm groves and its pink houses. We follow the route programmed in our trip to Morocco, organized this way to be able to admire the contrasts of its landscapes… We arrive at the Todra Gorges, formed by rocky walls more than 200 meters high and after visiting them, we will go to the Dades Valley, Berber village famous for its high gorges and its views over Atlas. Night in a charming riad.

We will cross the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses until we reach Ouarzazate, where we will visit the kasbah of Taourirt. After another 25 km of road, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for being the scene of cinematographic super-productions such as the Oscar-winning Lawrence of Arabia, The Protective Sky or Babel. We will take the road that crosses the port of Tichka, which will lead us to the Red City of Marrakech. On arrival, we will be dropped off at the door of our accommodation or the airport.
